Figure skating is a captivating sport that integrates showmanship, athletics and the artistry of ballet and modern dance. It can be developed at almost any age for recreational enjoyment or competitive fulfillment. A figure skating student develops coordination, balance, rhythm, endurance, confidence and self-expression. Mastering skills through lessons and practice generates an astute sense of responsibility and self-discipline.

Figure skaters are more advanced than a beginner ice skater.
